How It Works

You stay where you are. We come to you. That's the whole idea.

Here's what nobody tells you about brake repair: the actual work takes maybe 90 minutes. The rest of the "3-hour brake job" is driving to the shop, sitting in a waiting room, getting a ride home, picking the car back up. One Day Brakes cuts all that out. We show up at your house or office with a fully-stocked truck, do the work right there in your driveway, and leave when it's done. You stay home. You stay at work. Here's exactly how it works, step by step.

The Process

📱

Step 1: Tell Us What You Need

Quick call or online form — your choice

  • Call (281) 249-9601 or use the online quote form
  • Share your vehicle info (year, make, model) and what's going on
  • Pick a time that works — same-day and next-day appointments available when schedule and parts allow
  • You get an exact price before we show up. No guessing, no "we'll see when we get there"
  • Confirmation comes by text or email

Takes about 5 minutes.

🚐

Step 2: We Show Up Ready

Fully-equipped truck, trained technician

  • Your technician calls 15-30 minutes before arrival so you're not guessing
  • The truck has everything: jacks, brake tools, torque wrenches, premium parts, floor protection
  • We park in your driveway, parking lot, or street — wherever works
  • Trained mobile brake technicians, with ASE-certified technicians available

You don't need to prep anything. Just have the vehicle accessible.

Step 3: We Do the Work

Same quality as a shop — at your location

Before anything starts:

  • Quick visual inspection to confirm what's needed
  • If we find something you didn't expect, we explain it plainly — then you decide
  • No work happens until you approve it

During service:

  • We use premium parts only — no budget pads, no bargain filters
  • Floor protection goes down, work area stays clean
  • We photograph your old parts and the finished work

How long it takes: Oil change: 30-45 min | Brake pads: 60-90 min per axle | Full brake job: 2-3 hours

Step 4: Review and You're Done

See what we did, then get on with your day

  • We walk you through the completed work — what we replaced, what condition everything's in
  • Before/after photos so you can see the difference
  • Quick test to make sure brakes feel right
  • Digital service record emailed to you immediately
  • Your 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty on parts starts now

What you leave with: Service report, warranty documentation, and a reminder for your next service interval.

Takes about 10-15 minutes.

Common Questions

Do I have to stand there the whole time?

No. Once we get rolling, go do whatever. Work from home, watch TV, make lunch. We'll call when we're wrapping up. Plenty of customers hand us the keys and check back in when we're done.

What if you find something else wrong?

We tell you what we found, explain it in plain English, and give you a price if you want it handled. But you decide — no pressure, no "well, we already opened it up so you're on the hook." If you want to think about it or get it done later, that's your call.

How do I know the work is done right?

We torque everything to spec (not just "feels tight"), photograph the old parts and the new install, test-drive if needed, and back it all with a 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty on parts. If something's off, we want to know about it.

What if it's raining?

Light rain is fine — we work through it. Heavy storms, we reschedule at no charge. We're not doing brake work in a downpour.

What happens to my old parts?

We haul them away. Used oil, old filters, worn pads and rotors — all disposed of properly. You don't deal with any of it.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Park somewhere we can reach the car — driveway, parking lot, curbside. That's it. You don't need to be there the whole time, just at the start and finish. Hand us the keys and go about your day, or stick around — whatever works for you.
